Melaka using Lomo

even the famous Satay Capitol is fearin piracy problem~

nyonya kueh... actually kinda similar with those in kl except the rice is bluish~

this lamp post under the sun tends to set a good feel...

this royal press house in jonker street.... makes me wonder how it is done in the past... during the historican days when they print it

this is the god of entrance. ppl in the ancient time post it up to protect their home from evil power... to bless everyone at home. they do look kinda scary if u stare on them long enough

of course, antique in melaka is a must rite? otherwise, why go to this historical town.

melaka with it's famous chicken rice ball... but this is not the famous ones ya. the more famous ones are near the entrance into jonker... there's an old one next to the river and another at the start of the road. but this Famosa chicken rice got money to advertise. even before you come into the town, you can see their billboard.

the word "fook" (fortune) being hung upside down indicating "fook dou" = fortune come. well, i'm sure it surely come for the owner with all the sales and best buy tag hanging out.

colorful slippers.... not ori though ;P

my first attempt using a digital lomo and i would say not bad... but too bad u can only use it under bright light. maybe i should consider getting a normal lomo.

ABC Jin

Over lunch with ManhanD at Melaka, I was being introduced to a name - Au-Yong Jin. The manager told me that their tour at Batu Pahat will have the special appearance of Jin and was overly excited about it. Somehow, my "Who?!?" breaks the atmosphere as almost every in the band was starring at me. Lucky me, the other 3 person next to me also have not heard of the name.

Then, the introduction to Jin started by the song "ABC hai ngo hai ngo", which strike some recall. And the introduction continues with how great Jin is in the States, where he manages to beat down all the rapper in US for 7 consecutive years. This is where we "WOW!". We begin to join in the excitement to see how Jin will do at the tour.

At Summit Batu Pahat, Jin made an appearance after 2 scores by Manhand. He appear next to DJ Point with a DiGi Yellowmen ballon covering his face. It was cute though to see a smiley face on the balloon and there stands the super Jin. Being a normal face with an oversize shirt, jeans and cap, I really can't see how this guy can beat down all the rappers. But somehow, his face looks very familiar (and latter only I found out he appears in Too Fast Too Furious). Jin raps a portion of his ABC to the public and everyone raps along... but instead of ABC, we rapped MBC (Malaysian Born Chinese).

After the tour, the manager invited us to join in the ABC Jin Tour at this local disco called Le Palace (if I remember the name right :P). Jin is also on his tour covering almost 40 pubs/ discos nationwide sponsored by Chivas. We arrived at this pub which is overly crowded and we headed to the VIP area, where Jin is sitted. Soon, it was his time to perform and this time round I really go "WOW!!!". Jin is so good that he manages to bring up the atmosphere of everyone there. His on-the-spot interaction with the crowd was fantastic. Now I know how he could beat all those people. With a fast changing mind like this, he can outrun anyone.

I like his Yum Dom Cha. At a point, he made me believe that he is really going to go Yum Cha with one of the angry audience there. You can have a look at his video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7prZLCpkHk

Another one of my favourite would be "Speak Can't Read"... so like me. Yaya... I'm a Banana. So what?!?!

After back from the tour, I went googling around for Jin and am really impressed by how an ABC can make his way so far. Keep it up Jin. You will surely become a "Superstar" like how you sang it.

You can know more about him from his blog: http://jinforthewin.blogspot.com/.
